Teamwork - Part 3: Connect & Bond
From tournaments to charity events and weekly lunches, Clientek fosters teamwork by creating fun, meaningful ways for teammates to connect and bond.

An important aspect of teamwork is being able to take the time to connect with your teammates. For anyone who has either visited our office, you can tell that we like to have fun and connect with our teammates on a personal level. Throughout the year, we coordinate several events that allow our team members to bond and simply have fun.
The events I always look forward to most are our quarterly Clientek tournaments. During these competitions, team members are pitted against team members to claim their dominance (and win some pretty cool prizes) in the skills of pool, darts, shuffleboard, mini golf, video games, etc. Let the record show that my esteemed colleague, David Stevens, and I combined powers to take the crown in our most recent cornhole tournament. Thank you very much.
As a team, we also have the privilege of participating in some very meaningful local charity events. A team of Clientek employees recently participated in the American Lung Association “Fight for Air Climb” where we climbed up and down the stairs at Allianz field. We also get to embarrass ourselves on the golf course at the Morton Cure Paralysis Fund’s annual golf event. My golf foursome this year won the “Sportsmanship” award, which is a nice way of saying that we came in last place. Thank you very much.
Every Thursday, we gather as a team in our office lounge and break bread with each other. We order in lunch for everyone in the office and get to connect as an entire company. During these lunches, somebody volunteers to present a topic of their own personal interest to the rest of the group. There have been a range of topics, everything from how to make the best bowl of chili to a puppy obedience training demonstration. (Oscar is such a good boy!)
Needless to say, all of these activities I mentioned are a ton of fun. More importantly, they provide an opportunity for our teammates to connect and bond, thus strengthening the team mentality.
